My horses have months of foundation work before ever backing in the box. And if a horse has been roped on, but lacks the foundation, I go back to square one with them.  Each and every horse that leaves my barn is a better individual then when it arrives. And we are not in a hurry to "turn" a horse when we buy one.  Like fine wine, no horse is sold before it's time.  We do not deal in horses that are mentally or physically crippled. If we find we have traded or bought one with that problem, they are culled.  We won't sell around problems.
